Haunted House Hunt

Seattle's Best Haunted House

Seattle's Best Haunted House

Seattle in October smells like wet fir and cheap fake fog, and I’m here for every second of it. We traded the Space Needle for a squishy bridge and a smoky cocktail that nearly launched me into a circus performer’s arms.

This city’s haunts run from a free, upscale Laurelhurst art installation with charity cookies to the Georgetown Morgue’s gloriously vile, yearly-improving scream fest. I have apologized to a zombie and yelped at a skeleton, all in the name of research.

Your October calendar is officially full. Read on.

Georgetown Morgue Haunted House

Georgetown Morgue Haunted House
Highlights
Dedicated staff, killer costumes
Worth every penny
Characters rock the line
Morgue improves yearly

The Georgetown Morgue is a yearly ritual for me, and it keeps getting sharper. The dedicated staff and killer costumes set the tone before you even step inside. Characters work the line with a prowl that promises mayhem. Worth every penny, seriously. I screamed. I laughed. I may have apologized to a zombie for stepping on his foot. The improvements each year show real care. Bring a brave friend and maybe a change of underwear. This morgue never disappoints. Go early. Go often. Just go.

Four cocktails, three fantastic
Spooky but not too spooky
Incredible circus performer act
Interactive ghost actors near stairs
All ages, over twenty-one

Haunted Soirée flips the script on fear. It's spooky but not too spooky, thank goodness. Four cocktails arrive, and three are fantastic. One was a bit too smoky for me. The circus performer act is absolutely incredible. Interactive ghost actors near the stairs kept me on my toes. All ages show up, though the over-twenty-one crowd gets the better sip. I felt elegant and terrified, a strange combo. My balance wavered after that smoky one. The performers caught me. Literally. What a night. Perfect for a date or a dare.

Nightfall

Nightfall
Highlights
Best haunted house ever
Amazing use of space
Supports great local causes
Unforgettable squishy bridge
Pure community-driven joy

Nightfall is the best haunted house I have ever entered. I am not exaggerating. The space is used with amazing precision, every corner holds a surprise. They support great local causes too. That squishy bridge? Unforgettable. I still think about it. My heart pounded with pure community-driven joy. I stumbled out grinning like an idiot. The volunteers pour in so much heart. It's not just a haunt; it's a celebration. I dragged three friends back through. We all screamed together. This is what Halloween should feel like. Find it. Support it. Thank me later.

Generous owner, free refreshments
Incredible detail, must experience
Supports local charity donations
Memorable, community-driven Halloween

Laurelhurst Haunted House is a free, upscale fright night art installation. The owner's generosity shows in every detail. Free refreshments await, which nearly made me cry. The detail is incredible, you must experience it. They support local charity donations with open arms. I wandered through rooms that felt alive. I yelped at a ghost, then apologized to a skeleton. This is a memorable, community-driven Halloween triumph. No ticket, no catch. Just pure crafted fear and kindness. I left with candy and a full heart. Mark my words, this one deserves your October. Show up. Donate. Get scared. It's perfect.
